Clients accessing counselling services from Your Time Therapy enter into the following contract.
The Your Time Therapy will provide the best service possible, however there are never any guarantees with counselling and so we are not able to guarantee a specific outcome.
Confidentiality
Client confidentiality is taken very seriously and will only be broken if the Your Time Therapy counsellor believes that you or another person / other people are in danger of serious harm, or if required by a court of law. Where possible this will be discussed with you beforehand.
All counsellors undergo regular ‘professional supervision’ where they discuss their client work in order to be able to offer their clients the best possible service. You will not be personally identified during this process.
Sessions
Appointments are 60 minutes long and can be weekly, twice weekly, fortnightly, or whatever frequency suits you and your counsellor.
Contact between Sessions
If you need to contact your counsellor please phone, text or e-mail them. This contact is limited to practical arrangements unless it has been agreed that ‘emergency sessions’ are available between scheduled sessions.
If you ‘bump into’ your counsellor outside of your appointments, you have a choice of what to do. You can choose to acknowledge or ignore them, and they will follow your lead. If you choose to acknowledge them, you can smile, wave or say hello, and they will return the gesture. It is not appropriate to get into conversation, and your counsellor will not instigate this or ask you how you are.
Ending
Normally the ending of the therapeutic relationship is by mutual agreement with your counsellor, but you are free to end your relationship at any time. On rare occasions the counsellor may end the relationship if they believe that you are not benefiting from the service.
Ethical framework
Counsellors adhere to the ethical guidelines of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Social Networking
Your Time Therapy counsellors are not permitted to communicate with clients via social networking. This is to protect the therapeutic nature of the relationship.
Payments, Cancellations and ‘No-Shows’
The fee is payable at the appointment in cash or by bank transfer 2 working days in advance. Your counsellor will endeavour to rearrange appointments at the clients request, however, appointments cancelled or postponed less than 1 working day before the intended start time are charged at full price. Working days are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm. A ‘No-Show’ is considered to be a late cancellation and is chargeable at full price.
Non-Payment
When payment is owed no further appointments can be booked until the debt is cleared (unless agreed by Your Time Therapy). The following process is activated:
You will be sent an email invoice for the outstanding fee. You are welcome to pay this via PayPal or bank transfer. If it is agreeable with Your Time Therapy, you can pay with cash at an upcoming appointment.
If payment is not received within 10 working days of the invoice you will receive an email or letter asking for communication, offering you the opportunity to dispute the debt or pay in instalments.
Special Offers
From time to time we may offer special offers with different conditions. You will be informed of the details when you access these offers.
